The journey started with Small Biz Highlight, a podcast launched in April 2020 during the pandemic. Its purpose was simple: give small businesses a platform to share their stories and showcase their products and services during uncertain times. It quickly gained traction, expanding into a Roku streaming TV show and earning awards along the way.
In August 2023, however, everything came to a halt when founder Tiffany Roman was deployed overseas. That pause turned into an opportunity—one that allowed her to reflect on the future of the show. She realized that many servicemembers separate from the military without clear career paths, and even those with entrepreneurial dreams often believe they must wait until retirement to start their business.
That’s when Launch Masters was born—a step-by-step guide to launching and growing a business while still serving or preparing for life after the military. Meet our Host: Tiffany Roman
As a dedicated single mom to two wonderful, energetic boys, I understand the challenges of balancing personal
commitments with professional aspirations. My journey began in the military, where discipline and resilience became
second nature. These skills proved invaluable as I transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding Small Biz Highlight,
LLC. This venture started as a passion project during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, aiming to
spotlight small businesses struggling to stay afloat.
While deployed overseas in 2023, I had the opportunity to reflect on the direction of Small Biz Highlight. It was then
that I realized my true passion wasn’t just in introducing businesses but in fostering them from the ground up. Thus,
Launch Masters was born—a podcast dedicated to helping you navigate the complex yet rewarding landscape of starting and growing your own business.
Through Launch Masters, I aim to demystify the process of business creation. Drawing from firsthand experiences and the insights of seasoned entrepreneurs, I strive to make entrepreneurship accessible to everyone, especially those still serving in the military or contemplating their next steps post-service.
When I’m not podcasting or exploring new business strategies, I indulge in my love for the color pink, enjoy cooking and baking with my kids, and passionately root for the Philadelphia Eagles.
